English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are offered from Beginning Low through Intermediate High “B.” Our student population is composed of those with limited English language skills. They learn vocabulary skills through speaking, listening and reading—all with the goal of acquiring English language competency.
Distance Learning is a video centered program offered in ESL and Citizenship. It allows students to work at their own proficiency level within their individual time constraints. Growth is measured in terms of the demonstration of competencies. Upon completion of each unit, the student must meet with the teacher, and complete unit reviews with an accuracy of 80% or better in order to earn credit.
